Bernard Corrigan was sentenced to two years and nine months in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 12 January 2024 for assault causing harm to a prison officer at Mountjoy Prison.

The sentence was backdated to 25 October 2023 and will run concurrently with the sentence Corrigan is already serving. His earliest release date is 2 March 2027.
