Belfry fund investors were allowed to take parts of their claims to a full trial in the High Court, as reported on 28 April 2017. The claims concern losses on investments in five UK commercial property funds.
Mr Justice Robert Haughton ruled that claims about alleged failures to explain loan-to-value covenants were not statute-barred. Other claims, including alleged negligence in investment management, prospectuses and suitability advice, were outside the six-year limitation period; the defendants deny the allegations.
