Appeal court upholds Melissa Whelan’s sentence for assaults and related offences

Melissa Whelan, 34, of Sarsfield Park, Limerick, pleaded guilty to producing an article capable of causing serious injury, assault and criminal damage.

The Court of Appeal dismissed her appeal against the four-year sentence.
