Aaron Brady continued giving evidence in the Central Criminal Court on 17 July 2020 while pleading not guilty to murdering Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe and robbing about €7,000 at Lordship Credit Union, Bellurgan, Co Louth.
Brady rejected the suggestion that he shared psychopathic characteristics and described prosecution witness Daniel Cahill as a liar. Cahill denies involvement in an alleged assault and break-in and has told the trial that Brady admitted killing a garda on three occasions.
Brady also disputed evidence that he had said he shot a garda, and gave evidence about an alibi notice submitted during the proceedings. The trial was continuing before Mr Justice Michael White and a jury.
