Coco's Law being taught in schools as online safety measure

The assistant garda commissioner has announced that Coco's Law—named after Nicole 'Coco' Fox who died by suicide in 2018 following online bullying—is now being taught in schools as part of online safety lessons introduced in 2021. The law makes it a criminal offense to share or threaten to share intimate images without consent. Jackie Fox, Nicole's mother, has campaigned tirelessly for the legislation to protect other young people from similar abuse.
