14-year-old Longford snooker star takes on World No. 23

Joe Shannon, a 14-year-old snooker player from Longford, became the youngest Irish player to compete in a professional match when he faced World No. 23 Robert Wilkins at the Snooker Shootout. Despite an impressive 42-1 lead early in the match, Shannon narrowly lost to the experienced Wilkins, who had to bring his A-game to secure victory.
