Jury in trial of four view bodycam footage of Strokestown eviction

A jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court has viewed bodycam footage from an eviction at a property near Strokestown, County Roscommon, recorded five days before an alleged violent assault. The footage was shown during the trial of four men who have pleaded not guilty to a combined 53 charges relating to an incident in December 2018. A security operative testified that he was among those present during the court-ordered repossession on 11 December, where a resident with autism was removed from the house. The witness denied that excessive force was used during the eviction and stated that no injuries were sustained by those present. The trial, before Judge Martina Baxter and jury, continues at the criminal court.
