A former League of Ireland footballer has received a fully suspended five-year sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for drug dealing. Adrian Bajgora, aged 25, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for sale or supply at his home in Lucan, County Dublin on November 1, 2019. Gardaí discovered cocaine valued at €42,318, along with MDMA, ketamine, Zopiclone tablets, and cannabis during a search of his address. The total value of drugs seized was €45,871. Bajgora, who played for Longford Town reserves and occasionally the first team, told gardaí he intended to sell all the drugs. The court heard he committed the offence due to financial pressure affecting his family. Judge Pauline Codd noted his previous good character, substantial work history, and that the offence was out of character. She imposed the sentence on strict conditions, finding it an exceptional case.
