Two men have been sentenced at the Central Criminal Court to a combined total of twenty years for their role in facilitating the murder of Vincent Ryan. Jeffrey Morrow, aged thirty-seven, received eleven years imprisonment, whilst Paul O'Beirne, aged thirty-six, was sentenced to nine years. Both men, from Dublin addresses, initially pleaded not guilty to murder but subsequently entered guilty pleas to facilitating a serious offence contrary to the Criminal Justice Act 2006. The court heard that the men provided and destroyed a stolen Volkswagen Golf used by gunmen in the fatal shooting on 29 February 2016 near Convoy, County Donegal. Mr Justice Michael White determined that their actions were vital to the murder plot. Evidence included CCTV footage and forensic analysis linking the burnt-out vehicle to the crime scene. The judge noted Morrow's extensive criminal history and association with organised crime, whilst acknowledging O'Beirne's previously limited criminal record. Both sentences were backdated to reflect time already served in custody.
