Murder accused was "aggressive" on day of alleged killing, trial hears

At the Central Criminal Court, a witness told a murder trial that one of the two accused appeared intoxicated and displayed unusual aggression on the date of the alleged killing. Przemyslaw Lyczek, from Letterkenny, described the behaviour of Krzystof Grzegorski (22) as strange and noted the smell of alcohol. The trial concerns the death of Bogdan Michalkiewicz on 13 May 2013 at Westside Apartments in Letterkenny, County Donegal. Grzegorski and Dariusz Weckowicz (51) face murder charges. Grzegorski has pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter; the State rejected this plea. Weckowicz has pleaded not guilty to murder. A further witness, Petr Adamovicz, testified that he observed a stain on Weckowicz's clothing shortly after the body was discovered. The trial, heard before Justice Patrick McCarthy and a jury, continues.
