The jury at the Central Criminal Court has adjourned deliberations for a third consecutive evening in the trial of a man charged with murder in County Cavan. Przemyslaw Trebacz, aged 35, of Bramble Rise, Killynebber, Cavan denies the murder of Costel Catalin Cretu, aged 38, which is alleged to have occurred at Connolly Court, Connolly Street, Cavan between October 13 and 14, 2012. Mr Trebacz has pleaded guilty to a separate charge of criminal damage relating to a door at the same address on October 13, 2012. The jury has spent almost nine hours deliberating. When asked by Mr Justice Barry White whether further time would assist their consideration, the jury foreman indicated the panel required additional time and was not yet deadlocked. Deliberations are to resume on Wednesday.
