Outcome: Judge Sheahan imposed an effective sentence of twelve-and-a-half years imprisonment. Judge Sheahan sentenced Kane to three-and-a-half years imprisonment for both the assault by stamping on the victim's harm and the assault by head-butting her following nasal surgery and ordered that they run consecutive to each other.; An investigation was launched and recordings were obtained of 146 phone calls made by Kane to the victim while he was remanded in custody.
