Summary

Three men—Stephen Rooney (35), Vincent Brunton (33) and Alan Richardson (27)—will be sentenced on 13 July for forging a National Car Test certificate on 20 April 2011. Rooney and Richardson, who live at The Paddocks Grove, Adamstown, Dublin, and Brunton, who lives at Priory Square, St Raphaels Manor, Celbridge, pleaded guilty on a without‑prejudice basis at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. They were arrested after a four‑year Garda investigation prompted by an RTÉ Primetime documentary in 2011. Judge Karen O'Connor set the hearing for half a day, when full facts will be heard.
