Summary

Richard Satchwell, 57, will be tried in Dublin on 28 April 2025 after his lawyers successfully moved the case from Cork. Mr Justice Paul McDermott approved the application. Satchwell, a truck driver originally from Leicester, is charged with murdering his wife, Tina Satchwell, 45, at their Grattan Street home in Youghal on 20 March 2017. Tina was reported missing on 24 March 2017, and her skeletal remains were discovered in October 2023 during an excavation beneath the stairwell of the house.
