Outcome: Today Judge Sinéad Ní Chúlacháin sentenced Joyce to 18 months for the theft, but suspended the entire sentence for the same time period. Passing sentence, Judge Ní Chúlacháin said that Joyce's early guilty plea served as mitigation for his actions, but also said that he had little choice "after being caught red handed".
