Former Sinn Fein councillor refused bail at non-jury court
Summary
Jonathan Dowdall (39) and his father Patrick Dowdall (59) were denied bail by the Special Criminal Court on 27 May 2016. Both were charged with intent to commit false imprisonment, allegedly using a sawn‑off shotgun and a .44 calibre revolver to detain Alexander Hurley at their Navan Road home on 15 January 2015.
