Violent criminal tried to choke himself with own boxer shorts

Gavin Guinan Cahill, 38, was found guilty of assault causing harm and two attempted robbery charges after stabbing David Hawkins in the chest and cutting his arm and neck during a 2014 incident on Aungier Street.
