Tyrone man pleads guilty at non-jury court
Summary
Michael Barr, 34, originally from Tyrone, pleaded guilty before the Special Criminal Court to handling stolen electrical equipment at Finnstown House Hotel, Lucan, on 18 July 2014. He was charged in November 2014 with the same offence and also with membership of the IRA. After his guilty plea, the State dropped the IRA membership charge. The three‑judge panel, led by Mr Justice Paul Butler with Judges Alison Lindsay and Flann Brennan, remanded Barr on continuing bail until 28 April, when he will be sentenced.
