A witness testified that she heard a man speaking aggressively on the afternoon of a knife attack that left several children injured. Patricia Byrne heard the man say 'sh*t Irish, sh*t f***ing Irish' in an aggressive manner as he walked along Mary St in Dublin. She saw him approach two women with buggies and later identified him on CCTV footage. The trial of Riad Bouchaker, who is accused of attempting to murder two girls and one boy, and assault causing serious harm to a care worker, continues. Gardai found a 24cm carving knife in a rucksack near the scene of the attack. Bouchaker has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and the trial before a jury of nine men and three women is expected to last up to five weeks.
