'High level' offender jailed after gardai seize more than €157k worth of cannabis and cocaine

Summary

A 'high level' drugs offender has been jailed for seven and a half years after being caught with cannabis and cocaine twice within six months. Cillian Nolan (29) was found with €119,000 worth of cannabis and €7,774 worth of cocaine during a search of an apartment. He also had €4,125 in cash and drug paraphernalia. Nolan pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of drugs and possession of criminal proceeds. His previous convictions include drug dealing and harassment. Judge Orla Crowe noted that Nolan was working at a higher level and imposed a nine-year sentence, suspending the final 18 months on condition he engages with the Probation Service. He was also backdated to October 2, 2025, when he went into custody.
