Trial of former NAMA official accused of disclosing confidential information adjourned
Summary
A former National Asset Management Agency official, Enda Farrell, aged 39, faces 13 charges for disclosing confidential information in May, June and July 2012. His trial at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court was adjourned after new material was received on 8 January. Defence counsel Michael Bowman SC requested the case be removed from the trial list and re‑listed in two weeks for a new trial date. Prosecutor Kerida Naidoo SC said the State had no objection. Judge Patricia Ryan remanded Farrell on continuing bail to appear for mention on 1 February.
