Summary

The Special Criminal Court in Dublin will open a ten‑day trial tomorrow for Hubert Duffy, 47, of George's Place, Temple Street, and Robert Day, 44, of St Attracta Road, Cabra. Both men are charged with membership of an unlawful organisation, the Irish Republican Army (IRA), on 2 February 2014. Prosecutor Vincent Heneghan BL informed the court that supplementary disclosure and additional evidence had been submitted to the defendants' counsel, who require time to review it. Judge Paul Butler, presiding over the three‑judge, non‑jury court, criticised the late disclosure, stating it should not occur.
