In a trial in the West of Ireland, a rape complainant testified that she has a clear recollection of her mother and uncle having sex when she was a child. The complainant's mother and uncle face a total of 21 counts of sexual assault and rape, alleged to have occurred between 2000 and 2014, mainly at a family home in the west. The uncle pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one of oral rape; the other man pleaded not guilty to one count of oral rape; the mother pleaded not guilty to 13 counts of sexual assault and one count of rape. The case is before Justice Melanie Greally and a jury.
