Three found guilty of murder for beating gangland assassin to death
Summary
In a non-jury trial, Mr Justice Kerida Naidoo found Noah Musueni (18), David Amah (19), and Michael Andrecut (23) guilty of the murder of Tristan Sherry. The court rejected defence arguments of provocation and loss of self-control, citing CCTV evidence of deliberate, composed violence inflicted after Sherry was disarmed. Sherry died from traumatic brain injuries and 27 sharp force wounds. The judge noted Andrecut's actions were considered, while Amah and Musueni displayed control despite their ages. Musueni, previously on bail, was ordered into custody. Separately, Brandon Hennessy (21), Jonas Kabangu (19), and Diarmuid O'Brien (18) were convicted of violent disorder. The judge ordered reports for the violent disorder defendants. The matter was adjourned, with the court to mention the case on March 10th and a sentencing hearing scheduled for April 7th.
