Summary
During the trial of 21‑year‑old Michael Kinsella, accused of murdering 31‑year‑old Adil Essalhi in Tyrrelstown on 6 January 2011, Gemma Brady Deegan testified that she saw splashes of blood on Kinsella. She said she was staying at her mother's house when Kinsella's uncle Wayne Kinsella and Essalhi returned around 3 pm, drinking upstairs. Kinsella arrived with a woman, and the group stayed until after midnight, returning 45 minutes later. Brady Deegan claimed Wayne Kinsella was covered in blood in the kitchen and that Kinsella had blood on his clothes. She also described Wayne Kinsella's violent history, including a conviction for murder and an assault on a foreign lady. Brady Deegan confirmed that Kinsella had changed clothes and that a washing machine had been running minutes later. The trial continues. Michael Kinsella pleaded not guilty.
