Juror search delays Law professor's murder trial

Summary

The trial of Diarmuid Phelan, a senior counsel and law professor at Trinity College, for the murder of Keith Conlon, a father of four, will begin tomorrow after a delay caused by the removal of two jurors from the original panel. Phelan, aged 56, pleaded not guilty to the fatal shooting that occurred on 22 February 2022 at Hazelgrove Farm, Kiltalown Lane, Tallaght. Conlon, aged 36, was seriously injured in the incident and died two days later at Tallaght University Hospital. The case was adjourned until tomorrow morning.
