Jury to resume deliberating in trial of drug addict accused of murdering his friend
Summary
The jury in the trial of Peter Jackson, a 41‑year‑old heroin addict from Kerryhall Road, Fairhill, Co. Cork, will resume deliberations tomorrow after Justice Isobel Kennedy finished her charge. Jackson has pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter for the fatal stabbing of David Hamilton, 31, on 4 May 2012 at a house on Kerryhall Road. Kennedy explained that the jury can return a verdict of guilty of murder or not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.
