Crack cocaine addict who robbed four pharmacies while out on bail for same offence is remanded in custody
Summary
Terrence Mulhall, 39, a crack cocaine addict, was remanded in custody pending sentencing in January after robbing five pharmacies near his home in Finglas, Dublin. He was already on bail for one robbery when he carried out the other four, stealing €2,135 from the tills by threatening staff with scissors, a screwdriver or a blade. Mulhall pleaded guilty at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to robbery of Hickey's Pharmacy on December 19, 2014, Llyods Pharmacy, and Hickey's Pharmacy on Main Street on March 11 and April 1, 2015. Two additional robbery charges were considered. He was first arrested after the first robbery when fingerprints from a perfume bottle and CCTV footage linked him to the crime; his home was searched and the clothes he wore during the robbery were found in his bedroom. Mulhall made full admissions and was released on bail, then committed the next four robberies within three weeks.
