Court grants bailed IRA accused's application to attend NFL game in London
Summary
Belfast man Sean Hannaway, 47, was granted a bail variation by the Special Criminal Court in Dublin to attend an NFL match in the UK this weekend. He had previously been granted bail in August pending his trial for IRA membership. The court heard that he was seeking permission to travel to the UK for a football match. The Director of Public Prosecutions did not object to the application. Mr Hannaway will continue signing on at his local police station when he returns.
