Dun Laoghaire pier traders challenge council's decision to revoke their licences

Two long‑time casual traders at Dun Laoghaire's East Pier, Bryan O'Kane of "Bryan's Coffee" and David Harper of "Say Fish", have filed a High Court challenge against Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council's decision to revoke their trading licences. The council announced the revocation in August without prior warning, citing alleged obstruction of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, littering and nuisance caused by their equipment. Ms Justice Niamh Hyland granted them permission to proceed and allowed them to apply for a stay if necessary.
