Summary

In the murder trial of Kenneth Cummins (28) and Sabrina Cummins (37), the jury heard that the 63‑year‑old Thomas Horan was found hunched in a foetal position at his Cambridge Court home in Ringsend on 6 January. Garda Darren Coughlan, who responded to a 5 am call, reported that Sabrina Cummins, in black clothing and agitated, called to say she had found her friend dead. Fireman Micheál Carroll described arriving to a poorly lit room, finding Horan between the bed and a cluttered cabinet, with a jacket on top of him that had been placed there. He noted no pulse or breathing, a deathly pallor and a blue‑grey colour, concluding the victim had been deprived of oxygen for some time. Sergeant Peter Holmes recounted meeting Sabrina at 5:14 am, who insisted on seeing Horan and claimed she last saw him at 7:30 pm the previous evening. Kenneth Cummins pleaded not guilty. Sabrina Cummins pleaded not guilty.
