Summary

A jury of seven women and five men has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a man charged with the murder of his wife in County Mayo. James Kilroy, aged 49, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the charge of murdering Valerie French Kilroy at their home in Kilbree Lower, Westport, between 13 and 14 June 2019.
