Summary

Three former Anglo Irish Bank officials – Tiarnan O'Mahoney, Bernard Daly and Aoife Maguire – were found guilty of conspiring to conceal or alter bank accounts linked to chairman Sean FitzPatrick. The jury convicted them on all charges after a two‑month trial and nearly seven hours of deliberation. O'Mahoney, aged 56, was accused of directing staff to hide accounts from Revenue's 2003‑2004 audit and of asking a staff member to omit an account from a list. Daly, aged 67, was alleged to have led a team that supplied information to Revenue and to have asked a staff member to conceal account details. Maguire, aged 62, was alleged to have acted as a mole, reporting directly to O'Mahoney and ordering the IT department to delete six FitzPatrick‑related accounts. The verdict was delayed by a claim of jury tampering, but the judge ultimately accepted the guilty verdicts. Aoife Maguire pleaded not guilty.
