Six years for drugs debtor caught moving €780k in cannabis
Summary
Christopher Graham, 41, was sentenced to six years' imprisonment after he was caught driving a van that contained 39 kilos of cannabis, worth an estimated €780,000, in an attempt to settle a long‑standing drug debt. He pleaded guilty to possession of the drug at Mill Lane, Palmerstown, on 22 June. Judge Martin Nolan accepted that Graham had no ownership of the cannabis and that he was transporting it to alleviate his own debt.
