Judge Martin Nolan sentenced Voolain to three and a half years' imprisonment and Myles to a two‑and‑a‑half‑year sentence suspended on strict conditions. Both defendants cooperated with Gardaí and signed the notebook. The case was heard at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
