22-year-old pleads guilty to 2014 Tallaght footbridge assault

James O'Brien, 22, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to 20‑year‑old Dale Creighton, who died two days later in hospital after the incident on New Year's Day at Saint Dominic's Road footbridge in Tallaght. O'Brien, a Tallaght native, was arraigned before the Central Criminal Court, where Justice Patrick McCarthy noted he had no prior convictions and was already in contact with probation services.
