Woman guilty of throwing away knife used in Isaac Horgan stabbing

Summary

A 41‑year‑old woman, Lisa Lee of Conyngham Road, Dublin, was found guilty by a Central Criminal Court jury of discarding a knife that was used in the stabbing of Isaac Horgan, which later caused Horgan's death. Lee denied that she threw the knife away knowing or believing that Noel Lennon had caused serious harm to Horgan. The charge was altered during the trial when it was established that Horgan died after Lee had disposed of the knife. Lennon, 48, was initially charged with Horgan's murder but pleaded not guilty to murder and guilty to manslaughter, with sentencing scheduled for January. The State's case was that Lee, in the company of Lennon, went to Horgan's flat and that Lennon stabbed Horgan in the leg, causing a fatal arterial bleed.
