Fair City actor barred from taking up other TV work, filings claim

In a case management hearing before the Workplace Relations Commission, Fair City actor Tony Tormey claimed he had been barred from other TV work and sought recognition as an employee under the Protection of Employees (Fixed-Term Work) Act 2004. Tormey, who has portrayed Paul Brennan since 1989, alleges he acquired the right to an indefinite contract in 2004.
