Violent offender jailed for catalogue of abuse against partner
Summary
A 22‑year‑old Dublin man was jailed for six years after pleading guilty to six counts of assault causing harm and one count of assault, plus theft of the victim's car, bank cards, tablet and mobile phone. Mr Justice Keane imposed consecutive sentences totally eight years, having taken into account that the man was on bail when he committed some of the offences and the fact that the offences relate to different people. "I take the view that they (the offences) fall outside the single transaction principle," he said.; She reported the incident and he was remanded in custody two days later.
