Homeless businessman had fake travel pass in name of Brad Pitt, court hears
Summary
Clive Keogh, a 40‑year‑old former businessman and graphic designer, was arrested on 7 November 2013 after a Garda stopped him on Parnell Street. The officer noticed Keogh moving a plastic card from his front to his back pocket and discovered a free travel card in his own name that appeared to be fake. Keogh was handed a USB key containing several other false travel passes, which he claimed he had created in an internet shop. He pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a false travel pass with intent to deceive, and admitted possession of four additional passes in the names of Stephen Lyons, Anthony Keegan, David Doyle and Brad Pitt. Keogh said he made the cards to visit his son in Navan and had produced between five and ten such cards for others.
