Jury retire for deliberations in trial of housecleaner accused of stealing artist's paintings

Summary

Roza Komorova, 46, from Ballinteer, pleaded not guilty to stealing paintings worth over €28,000 from artist Louise Mansfield's home in Cabinteely on 5 September 2011. In court she said she did not understand Gardaí questions and claimed the paintings were hers, to be hung on her wall, and that Mansfield had asked her to move them. She also alleged an affair with Mansfield's husband, Theo Hanley, who denied any infidelity. Mansfield denied ordering Komorova to take the paintings and said Komorova only helped move them under her supervision. The trial continues before Judge Mary Ellen Ring.
