Former NAMA official due to stand trial next year charged with disclosing confidential information
Summary
Enda Farrell, a former National Asset Management Agency official, is set to stand trial in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 13 charges of disclosing confidential information in May, June and July 2012, contrary to the 2009 NAMA Act. The case was forwarded from the District Court where Farrell appeared last year. His defence, led by Michael Bowman SC, requested a trial date, noting that the disclosure was largely completed. Judge Martin Nolan scheduled the trial for January 18, 2016, and the prosecution, represented by Kerida Naidoo BL, sought witness and exhibit orders for that date.
