Lodger who took advantage of elderly landlady's kindness is jailed

Summary

Salaiman Sultan Alghurayr, 28, was sentenced to six months in prison for stealing nearly €5,000 from his 75‑year‑old landlady after she lent him her credit card in February 2020. He used the card to withdraw €4,558 in cash and attempted further thefts of €4,400 that failed. Alghurayr pleaded guilty to three theft counts in Dublin.
