Summary
Jack Murphy, aged 23, was sentenced to five years in prison after a series of violent offences. On 11 April 2021, while at his partner's home, he became agitated during a playdate, shouted at a child, and assaulted the mother, who was pregnant. He threatened to "kick that baby out of you" and later called her twice, threatening her and her child. Murphy also assaulted the mother's partner with a metal pole. Two days after his release from prison, he robbed an Iceland supermarket in Coolock, shouting at the till and taking money, and then robbed a Tesco in Artane, taking vodka bottles and leaving without paying. He pleaded guilty to robbery, theft, assault and a threat to kill.
