Summary

During the trial, Garda Kevin Seymour testified that he received a call on 25 March 2020 from the control centre about a man claiming to be God who said he had murdered someone the previous Friday. Seymour and other officers visited Trevor Rowe's home on Abbey Street, where Rowe, who appeared intoxicated, shouted that he had "slit her throat, buried a knife in her head" and that this was his "fifth one". He also said, "I murdered her, I done her head in and slit her throat. I could tell you about five more too". Rowe then fell to his knees and cried. The officers took him to Maudlin Street, where they found a body on a couch in a nearby house. The trial continues before Justice Karen O'Connor and a jury. Trevor Rowe pleaded not guilty.
