Jury sworn-in for O'Connell St murder trial
Summary
A jury of six women and six men was sworn in on 15 November 2021 to try Damien Singleton, 31, for the murder of 39‑year‑old Peter Donnelly on Dublin's O'Connell Street Upper West on 11 June 2019. Singleton, who has no fixed abode and is originally from Cork, pleaded not guilty to murder and guilty to manslaughter. He appeared in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin wearing a black button‑down shirt, black jeans and black and orange trainers. The trial will open before Ms Justice Deirdre Murphy at 11.30am tomorrow at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
