Teen who killed dog in 'despicable' attack is jailed
Summary
A 19‑year‑old named Josh Henney was jailed for six months after he killed a 10‑month‑old mixed‑breed dog named Sam by kicking it twice in the underbelly while the owner was speaking with his mother on North William Street, Dublin. Henney pleaded guilty to killing a protected animal on 23 March 2020. He already had 36 convictions and was serving a two‑year sentence for violent disorder, with the final six months suspended.
