Summary

Jordan Stone, a 23‑year‑old father of three, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for sale and supply after Gardaí seized 2.9 kg of cannabis, €1,420 in cash, and 1.1 g of cocaine from his home in Ringsend. He has prior convictions for drug possession and assault. At his sentencing hearing, Stone admitted he had a drug addiction and had been under pressure to hold drugs for someone else, but he would not name anyone. The judge noted the seized amount was significant but within the middle range for the Circuit Court, and considered his good work record and recent loss of his mother as mitigating factors. Judge Pauline Codd imposed a five‑year prison term, suspended for three years, and ordered Stone to attend courses on victim awareness and substance misuse, to destroy the drugs and surrender the cash. She urged him to rehabilitate and warned he should not return to court.
