Cocaine snorting conspirator Wilson threatened to kill prison officer and family
Summary
Luke Wilson, 25, serving a 12‑year sentence for a cocaine‑snorting murder conspiracy, was given an additional two years for threatening to cut the throat of a prison officer and his children. The threat was made at Mountjoy Prison on 17 November 2018 after Wilson, who had been in "bad form", told the officer to "Fuck off, or I'll cut the throat of you". He later threatened the officer's family, saying he would "cut their throats". The court heard Wilson had a history of violence, including an attempted murder in 2013 that left him blind in one eye, and 45 prior convictions. Judge Melanie Greally sentenced him to three and a half years, consecutive to his existing term, and suspended the final 18 months on strict conditions.
