Sea swimmer tells Bray Boxing Club trial of hearing 'explosion'
Summary
The trial of Gerard Cervi, 34, who has pleaded not guilty to the alleged murder of Bobby Messett, 50, at Pete Taylor's Bray Boxing Club in Bray, Co Wicklow, on June 5, 2018, continued before Mr Justice Michael White. Another witness, Anne-Marie Holland, stated she was nearly struck by a reversing silver car in the car park and later learned of a shooting. Prosecution counsel Paul Murray SC presented evidence linking a silver Volkswagen Caddy with registration DFZ to the scene, noting it was found near the East Link toll bridge. The prosecution alleges Cervi was seen on a bicycle near the van earlier that morning. The matter was adjourned to Tuesday.
